Bon Jovi Information

The hot news is true. Bon Jovi are on the road again, and they are blasting out the tunes like only they can. Their June 2007 album, Lost Highway, went straight in at Number One on the Billboard charts, selling almost 300,000 copies in the first week. Lost Highway was Bon Jovi's third number one album in the US. If you like the album, it’s time to see it performed live! That’s right; you can buy Bon Jovi tickets and go see your heroes, possibly the last chance we’ll ever get.

Those of us who are old enough to remember, can still recall when this original and versatile outfit burst onto the scene. It was way back in 1983 when lead singer Jon Bon Jovi organized the lineup which has remained virtually unchanged for over 20 years.

In the mid-80s, the band hit pay-dirt when they released Slippery When Wet, which was followed two years later by New Jersey (their last Number One album). The two albums sold almost 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, rocketing Bon Jovi to the stars, and sending demand for Bon Jovi concert tickets through the roof. The band toured the world and played in arenas to untold numbers of rabid fans, and their musical whimsy flitted between genres like a steel butterfly. Unlike other metal bands, leader John Bon Jovi encouraged his group to embrace pop, and even country music styles, something they did easily, thanks to their musical abilities; Drummer Tico Torres had many years experience in music, and had worked with some of the giants, like Chuck Berry. Keyboardist David Bryan was a student at New York’s prestigious Juilliard School music school. And, of course Ritchie Sambora, guitar-player extraordinaire, who specialized in sub-surface melodics - quite a mature approach for a rock guitarist. Everyone wanted to buy Bon Jovi tickets, to see how this glam-metal outfit interacted, and who could blame them?

June 2007’s Lost Highway debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard charts, the first Bon Jovi album to make Number 1 in U.S. charts since 1988’s New Jersey. And of course, that hot news rode in on the back of this new release. The word is, grab some Bon Jovi tickets now and see the guys one more time, or even for the first time ever.
