Foo Fighters Information
Foo Fighters tickets are always something people want, as this interesting band continue to make waves in the industry. The Foo Fighters have the distinction of being so deeply involved with other ultra-hip bands on the music scene that they are almost a cooperative rather than a stick-in-the-mud regular Alt Rock outfit. Foo Fighters concert tickets bring out a wide variety of fans due to this mix and match quality, and you might want to bookmark this page to stay best informed on the movements of Foo Fighters tickets as news of a new tour for 2008 hits the airwaves.
Musician Dave Grohl formed The Foo Fighters in 1995, named after the World War II apparitions which manifest themselves as balls of light to Allied pilots. The mysterious nature of these Foo Fighters appealed to science-fiction buff Grohl, who established a global following for his brilliant band, releasing several hit songs, including "This Is a Call", "Everlong", "Learn to Fly", and "The Pretender". The Foo Fighters have won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album on two separate occasions, and have contributed to movie soundtracks, including the song "The One" which appeared on the 2002 Orange County soundtrack. Tickets to Foo Fighters concerts are consequently concert tickets to a great night’s top-class music. Grohl’s musical pedigree was nothing to sniff at. He played as a member of grunge pioneers Nirvana for over three years, and he wrote and recorded several songs as a one-man project before deciding to form the Foo Fighters. Grohl played almost every instrument on the Foo Fighters’ self-titled debut album, with Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain and Afghan Whigs’ Greg Dulli playing small drums and guitar parts, respectively.
The Foo Fighters’ second album, The Colour and the Shape, was released in May, 1997, and contained the fans’ favorite, "Everlong". The Colour and the Shape is widely considered one of if not the best album The Foo Fighters released, with its descriptive (and some say autobiographical) account of a romantic love coming to an end. Consequent offerings, such as “There is Nothing Left to Lose” and “One by One” garnered the usual accolades from music industry insiders and others, but the band never stopped touring and Foo Fighters tickets continue to be sought after whenever they go on tour.
And they’re going on tour again, to support their sixth studio album “Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace”. The tour carries additional Fighters beyond the core members, including Pat Smear on guitar, Rami Jaffee on keyboards, and Jessie Greene on strings. The North American leg of the Foo Fighters’ 2008 Tour runs from January 16 in Sunrise, Florida, until April 30, when they play in Vancouver, British Columbia. From there the band goes on to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and England. Needless to say Foo Fighters fans across the globe will be seeking tickets to Foo Fighters concerts, so bookmark us and return for news frequently.
