Tesla Information
Named after the legendary Nikola Tesla, a Serbian electrical engineer, Tesla have electrified audiences with their blues-rock-glam-metal assaults on the senses. The band are known for their recreation of old-style rock atmospherics, and their telling 2007 covers album, a 2 CD set entitled “Real to Reel”, provides a substantial glimpse into Tesla’s biggest influences. Their debut album, 1986's Mechanical Resonance, was followed by more of same, such as 1989’s “The Great Radio Controversy”, which produced the hit single "Love Song".
Tesla continued to forge some strong bluesy-rock links when they recorded 1990’s, “Five Man Acoustical Jam”, a stunning live acoustic set which spawned the hit songs, "Signs" and "Comin' Atcha Live". The rest of the 90s saw other awesome Tesla offerings, such as “Psychotic Supper”, “Bust a Nut”, and 2000’s “Replugged Live”, which ushered in the millennium. Throughout this period, Tesla have toured extensively, and garnered excellent reviews and gigging rankings from top critics. Those fortunate enough to score Tesla concert tickets will agree with others who say that Tesla are masters of the blues-rock genre. And Tesla tickets are being talked about once more, for a very good reason.
That’s correct, Tesla are going to tour again! Beginning February 2008, the band will be touring the USA, having already toured Japan, Australia, and Europe in 2007. This tour is predicted to be among the top rock tours of 2008, and the lineup featuring guitarist Dave Rude, who replaced Tommy Skeoch in 2006, is flexing its considerable mechanical muscles once again. If you’re a real Tesla fan, don’t miss this chance to see the boys do their stuff once more.
