Van Halen Information

From beautiful Pasadena, California, Van Halen are considered one of America’s greatest rock bands, and now they are reunited and touring again! Everyone wants Van Halen tickets, and the buzz says that this tour is probably the last. Van Halen plus its favorite ex-members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March, 2007, and for their legions of devoted fans, this wasn’t a moment too soon.

It’s strange now to remember how easily Van Halen concert tickets could be obtained, back when the boys were patrolling the live rock clubs of Pasadena and Hollywood. It seemed like the crowds at those early gigs were literally growing by the week, and indeed they were. Large numbers of local students and partygoers thronged the hip clubs on Hollywood's Sunset Strip during the mid-1970s to watch this rocking new outfit, especially clubs like the Whisky-a-Go-Go, where the notorious Doors were spawned a decade earlier. In 1977, legendary Kiss band member Gene Simmons financed Van Halen’s first demo tape, recorded in New York City. Eddie disliked the demo, because he was not using his own equipment and had to overdub guitar parts. Disputes about the band’s sound, and even their name, caused a rift, and Simmons left the Van Halen scene. Van Halen was only just getting warmed up, though.

The crazy boys headed back to their LA stomping ground, and began recording Van Halen, their self-titled debut album. Musically, the record was an enigma; deliberately simple and purposefully imperfect, the track “Eruption" flooded from the speakers loaded with Eddie Van Halen's guitar tricks. His roller-coaster mastery of the plectrum, whammy bar, and fretboard advertised his effortless ability to change pitch and lead the listener on a unique musical trip. Many 80s rock guitarists copied this trademark bomb-drop style, but few managed it convincingly. Buy Van Halen tickets now and you will see for yourself why these guys are revered so in the rock music world. This new tour will extend until April 2008, when Van Halen play in Milwaukee’s Bradley Center, and all of America is surely waiting to see this. There’s no time to lose if you want to lay hands on tickets to Van Halen, so revisit this site for news, but make sure you buy Van Halen tickets soon so you don’t miss this historic chance to see one of our best loved and respected rock outfits.
